We are pleased to share that at our last AdCom meeting, NPSS approved joining the IEEE Council on Superconductivity (CSC) as a member society.

CSC brings together the science and technology of superconductors, spanning materials, electronics, magnetics, and power systems.  Our NPSS mission to provide opportunities for scientific exchange and career development for our community of nuclear and plasma scientists and engineers is well-aligned with the CSC mission. Superconducting magnets touch many areas close to our members’ work, including particle accelerators and nuclear fusion.

This new membership opens doors for collaboration, cross-disciplinary research, and sharing resources between our two IEEE communities. We look forward to what this partnership will bring.
