Secretary’s Report

AdCom Gathers in Vancouver

Albe Larsen
IEEE NPSS Secretary and Newsletter Editor

As noted by Vesna, AdCom met on November 10th (FinCom and ComCom) and 11th at the Vancouver Convention Centre at the end of the NSS/MIC/RTSD. Again we had a hybrid meeting but with about two-thirds of our members in attendance in person. Our next meeting will be just after you receive this Newsletter, in Santa Fe, NM.

I would like to add my thanks to Vesna’s for the service of our outgoing members and add a warm welcome to our new members. You will find brief introductory bios for some of our new members here.

Our Society continues to flourish with our finances in good shape, and our conferences and publications continuing to thrive. We are living into our best practices, too, as Vesna noted, and our TCs all have good things to report as does our Education Committee which has broadened the scope of courses offered.
