Coming in May — RealTime Conference 2026

The CANPS committee is organizing the biennial Real-Time Conference (RT2026), which will be held in Elba, Italy, from May 25–29, 2026.
Like previous editions, RT2026 will be a multidisciplinary event devoted to the latest developments in real-time techniques across a range of fields, including plasma and nuclear fusion, particle physics, nuclear and astrophysics, space science, accelerators, medical physics, nuclear power instrumentation, and other radiation instrumentation.
The conference provides an opportunity for scientists, engineers, and students from around the world to share the latest research and developments. It also attracts participants from industry, integrating a broad spectrum of computing applications and technologies.
This smaller IEEE conference typically draws between 200 and 250 participants, which allows for some unique features—such as giving each poster presenter a short “Mini-Oral,” a one-minute teaser to promote their poster. In past conferences, this format has been a great success.
