Over the past year, strengthening communication and engagement within the PAST community has remained a central priority. Continued discussions have focused on establishing more effective channels, such as a dedicated Collabratec community and/or a mailing list, to ensure that members and affiliates are kept informed about ongoing initiatives, upcoming events, and new opportunities within the field. Beyond improving information flow, these tools are also intended to broaden participation in PAST activities, with a particular emphasis on attracting scientists and engineers at the early stages of their careers.

As we look ahead, the coming year will also mark an important moment for the committee, with elections for new members of the PAST Executive Committee. Nominations and self-nominations will open soon and should include brief supporting statements along with contact information for each candidate. Active involvement from the community is strongly encouraged, and members interested in contributing to the direction and activities of PAST are warmly invited to take part.
